Armitt Museum

Art & History Digital Trail

The Armitt museum, containing work from artists such as Beatrix Potter and Kurt Schwitters, is situated in Ambleside, a popular town in the heart of the English Lake District that attracts large numbers of visitors.

The digital trail connects art and objects from the Armitt, with landmarks and buildings around the village.

Accessed online and in printed form, it is the perfect way for locals and tourists to discover more about the town’s history, and the Armitt’s diverse collection.

We commissioned, and art-directed the talented illustrator Olivier Kugler to bring new life to the objects and the surrounding streets.

“As part of a change in structure and outlook of the organisation following the COVID pandemic, we enlisted mr.creative to help bring a new and dynamic approach to The Armitt’s design content.”

“We will continue to look to martyn and his team to provide design input for The Armitt’s future projects and look forward to seeing their innovative and fresh approach each time.”
